About Us

Dallas based PLAN Fund www.planfund.org, is one of only two Grameen based programs in the US. The Grameen Bank was founded by Dr. Mohammed Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize winner (2006). Since its inception in 1999, the Dallas based PLAN Fund program has trained over 2,600 people and disbursed 471 business loans worth almost $700,000. TPF program provides a robust combination of business training, business development services and financing that have helped hundreds of low income entrepreneurs start or expand their businesses. TPF small business loans, range from $500 to $4,000, and the average loan size is $1,475. TPF customer’s average household is $29,700 which is 64% of the median income in the US. Ninety-five percent of TPF’s clients are minority entrepreneurs and seventy four percent are women.
