Suicide Prevention Service of the Central Coast

About Us

We provide suicide and crisis intervention, community education and outreach, grief support and referrals to persons at risk of suicide and suicidal behavior in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties.

Program services are designed to work in an integrated manner to support the health and well being of the most vulnerable people in our community. Through our 24-hour suicide crisis line, life-sustaining services are available for those who are in immediate danger, concerned family members, friends, or co-workers, as well as teachers, police officers, or therapists. Through an extensive community outreach project, we are able to identify potentially at-risk individuals. High-risk groups include teenagers and young adults, individuals with substance abuse or mental illness issues and adults experiencing crisis and loss, such as the sudden death or suicide death of a loved one. These individuals and families are provided with suicide crisis line numbers, community referrals, educational presentations, and group support.
