Race Services, Inc.

Race Services, Inc. is the volunteer safety team for Watkins Glen International, in Watkins Glen, NY. WGI is a world-renowned racing facility owned by International Speedway Corporation and features events from IMSA, NASCAR, SCCA, Pirelli World Challenge, and many more.

Race Services, Inc. is always looking for new volunteers to join our team. Our team features fire/rescue, medical, flagging and communications, and many pit and paddock specialties that assist with functions around the pits and garage area. Only those specialties dealing with fire or medical require certifications due to the nature of the work. All other specialties require no previous training. Our goal is to provide the best in track safety. As a team, we work together to provide communication to the drivers of potential dangers on the track, and provide trained fire and medical personnel to respond to incidents and clean up incidents.

Our season kicks off with our Motorsports Safety Seminar for training around the first weekend of April, and concludes around mid-October. Our organization works almost every weekend, however members may work whenever they are able to. It is asked that new members work some non-competitive, smaller events to gain experience prior to the larger, competitive spectator weekends.
