The Ecological Approaches to Social Emotional Learning Lab (EASEL Lab), led by Dr. Stephanie Jones of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, explores the effects of high-quality social-emotional interventions on the development and achievement of children, youth, teachers, parents, and communities. Our projects aim to advance the field of social and emotional learning through research, practice, and policy. This includes traditional field experiments and evaluation research, applied research, the development and dissemination of curricula, strategies, and professional development, and authorship of publications for a range of audiences and platforms. The EASEL Lab also effects change through translational activities that work towards solidifying the connections between the growing body of evidence supporting high-quality social and emotional learning and educational practice and policy more generally. Over the past five years, the EASEL Lab has designed a series of projects and collaborations that build upon and extend this research in a number of ways.
