About Us

The Imaging Science and Information Systems (ISIS) Center, under the Department of Radiology at the Georgetown University Medical Center, is a medical research organization with over 60 full-time faculty and staff specializing in the use of medical imaging, informatics, robotics and Internet technology for the prevention and diagnosis of various cancers and the management of chronic illnesses. Under the leadership of Director Seong K. Mun, PhD, the ISIS Center has an annual budget of approximately $7 million, funded with grants and contracts primarily from the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. Our laboratory is organized into eleven research and development areas.
