ThinkBrooklyn provides access to affordable, rapid and reliable data analysis and research, mapping, strategic planning, program evaluation, community assets and needs assessments, and community resource directories.

Our work is community-driven and participatory, and empowers community-based organizations, institutions, local government, media, businesses and researchers in Brooklyn to develop compelling funding proposals, high impact and sustainable programming and services, and influential advocacy initiatives.

ThinkBrooklyn empowers Brooklyn-based groups to:

- Make well informed, participatory and data-driven decisions using neighborhood level data - Move quickly on opportunities that require accurate and timely data - Save staff time so that groups can focus on providing direct services, and not waste scarce resources searching for elusive statistics- Understand what the data actually mean for their organizations and constituencies through compelling graphs, charts and maps - Assess the assets and needs of their constituencies via data analysis, surveying, visioning sessions and focus groups - Develop targeted, impactful and sustainable interventions via programming and services - Think strategically about why and how they do their work, and how they can improve - Evaluate programming via peer and self-reflective models, building in-house capacity - Articulate compelling funding proposals about the expressed needs of specific communities - Advocate successfully for the communities they serve
