Team Kid Care

Team Kid Care is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with serious medical conditions and their families, byproviding supportive, compassionate and meaningful programming.

The program is comprised of two distinctive areas of service. Scheduled hospital activities and specifically designed programs for children and their families. TeamKid Care services impact over 700 individuals each month. It may be a parent receiving a home cooked meal from someone they have never met, a child laughing for the first time in weeks from the antics of a CircEsteem M.D. entertainer, sibling gathering for a monthly creative art workshop, or a number of parents gathering for a weekly coffee support group. Children find reasons to smile and develop bonds through mentors and pen pals. Their siblings discover that there are other children out there facing the same issues of guilt, isolation and anger by connectiong with others in our monthly activities. Caregivers are able to reduce their stress and anxiety through a variety of methods, and most importantly they are able to better focus on the well-being of their sick child because we are able to minimize their day to dau stressors. Our services are provided free of charge to six of the Chicago area children's hospitals.
