About Us

The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA)is dedicated solely to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and has three objectives: to fund research that will lead to the eradication of ALS, to help people with the disease and their families improve living with ALS, and to build public awareness and support for a cure.

ALSA's National Office is headquartered in Washington, DC and supports a network of 40 independent, yet interdependent, chapters located throughout the United States. Through the National Office and the network of chapters, a wide range of comprehensive programs and services are delivered to patients, families and healthcare providers.
