  • About Us

The Winnebago County Literacy Council (WCLC) creates opportunities for people to read, write, and speak English, and perform everyday skills with confidence. Our vision is to create an engaging community where everyone has the opportunity to realize his or her potential through literacy. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization not affiliated with the Winnebago County government and we have offered free one-to-one tutoring and support services to adults reading at low to intermediate literacy levels since 1989. We are located on the third floor of the Oshkosh Public Library. Some of the programs that we offer at the WCLC are One-to-One Tutoring, Family Literacy, ELL Classes (Level 1 and Level 2/3), Homework Help, and Road to Work for Refugees.
