About Us

The mission of the Sacramento Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO is to build a more just, equitable and democratic society.

To improve the economic well being of workers and their families, we are committed to change the Amador, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Yolo and Sacramento County labor movement to focus resources on organizing the unorganized and to enhance union capacity to organize.

We want to promote a voice for workers through active participation in the political process, to elect pro-union and pro-worker officials and to advance public policies that support workers and their families.

Educating union members and workers is a necessary component to strengthen unions and to develop new leaders.

The Sacramento Central Labor Council is committed to build labor and community alliances to promote a common agenda for social and economic justice.
