Our Mission:To demonstrate God's unconditional love by providing a helping hand and hope to those in need. FMP strives to assist the disadvantaged from a holistic point of view. This approach entails providing a Christian environment where we mentor, teach life skills, dispense food, furnish clothing and promote economic advancement. Our food bank feeds on average 300 people monthly. The interviews are done one on one in a mentoring, relationship building, encouraging atmosphere. In addition to this program, we have created a network of sharing that includes 30 plus ministries,(Share Partners). We collect and transport over 100,000 pounds of food every month We operate a Thrift Store and it is a vital part of our program. The Thrift Store's main purpose is to sell gently used clothing and household items at an extremely low price to make them affordable for people in financial distress. We also provide free of charge clothing to those who come to us in need. In our Traing center students learn Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook Express. Additionally, classes on resume writing, electronic job searching, life skills, budgeting, dressing for success, and interviewing skills are available. We believe that by providing basic job training in a Christian environment, we are equipping those we serve with the necessary skills and knowledge to find appropriate employment. We offer volunteers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of those in need, in our community. We need volunteers with all levels of skill and expierences. Such as people who are Leaders,or who can develope and implement effective help programs, to people who have time to spare and are willing to work. The Kind of people who care and want to make a difference.
