About Us

Mission

To be the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in low-income housing communities. Our goal is to help keep family members employed, children in school, and seniors active.

Project Access was founded in 1999 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists families and seniors living in low-income housing communities. The organization offers onsite programs to the working poor to help ensure that parents maintain their employment, children stay in school and seniors remain active. Project Access provides services such as after-school tutoring and healthy snacks, job search assistance, health programs, English as a second language classes, and senior programs. We help the residents become further educated, financially stable and contributing members to our communities. In addition, in order to provide the most comprehensive services, we work with other nonprofits such as Second Harvest Food Bank and provide referrals for needs beyond the scope of our services.

Project Access operates Resource Centers in over 65 low-income properties throughout California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Maryland, and provided direct services to 14,000 individuals in need in 2016.
