FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Humanitarian Support Network is a community based organization with offices in the United States. Our goal is to support vulnerable communities towards the improvement of their physical, social, economic, mental, spiritual and psychological well being.

Position overview: 

The volunteer Fundraiser position would entail working with Remote at you home, securing funding for a new Projects of the Organization. The position involves researching available grants and funds, writing grants and following up on proposals to institutional funders in the United States and elsewhere. You will work with the Executive Director and program staff to ensure that all proposals accurately reflect the mission, policies, budgets and programs. The funding grant work could be written on your own time from your home, with occasional interact with the staff online.

Specific Functions: 

• Research and write foundation,  private, and corporate grant / funding proposals and reports 

• Review publications and use research tools to identify new funding sources;

• Work closely with program staff to insure accuracy of grant proposals and reports; better understand programs and projects to maximize grant proposals writing. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years experience as grant writer or equivalent writing experience

• Superior writing and research skills (please submit writing sample with application) 

• Enthusiasm and commitment to the mission and goals of the Humanitarian Support Network 

• Minimum High Education or equivalent experience

• Must be able to research, analyze, and produce compelling materials in a timely manner; 

• Experience with international development programs and/or funding a plus; 

• Proficiency in Excel and Word 

• Able to commit to 15 hours a week
