Description
Do you have three (3) hours a month to devote to volunteering? Can you sit at a patient's bedside and have conversations, or watch a movie, or listen to music?
Gentiva Hospice is looking for individuals, no experience necessary, who can sit with a patient in an Elmhurst skilled nursing home or assisted living facility three times per month, staying 30-60 minutes each visit. We are looking for people to visit a patient at either Chapters Living of Elmhurst (next to Elmhurst Hospital) or at Elmhurst Extended Care. You will have one patient to visit and hang out with until that patient is no longer on hospice.
Very flexible. Full training provided. Support always available. We work with any schedule. New volunteers welcome.
