Description

The Role:

This role will report to the Associate Director: Mechanical Engineering and will assist the Associate Director in creating and implementing software code to support any necessary data processing, process controls, analytics, and reporting features for STW (tm) ’s Electroflocculation equipment (E-FLOC). The Project Leader role is a remote/virtual opportunity.

What you will be responsible for.....

  • Create and sustain computer code for the Electroflocculation equipment (E-FLOC) on instructions from the Associate Director.
  • Help in writing detailed code documentation to help others understand the code’s structure and limitations.
  • Mentor and coach a team 3-5 Associates and hold them accountable for their work.
  • Provide appropriate technical training to new volunteers as required.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per schedule.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Knowledge or experience in designing Portable technology.
  • Knowledge or Experience in water and wastewater treatment design, 3D design in wastewater industry.
  • Knowledge or experience in HTML preferred.
  • Qualified Mechanical or Environmental Engineer with a zeal to learn.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
  • Good writing and editing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or equivalent work experience (at least 3 years or more full time paid corporate/non - profit work experience)
  • Focused attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and focus on details

Note:

  • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
  • Project leaders are expected to contribute a minimum of 8 hours per week. Project leaders must be willing to attend meetings in EST Timezone and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
  • STW(tm) welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunity. STW(tm) shall provide "letter of recommendation" professionals who demonstrate outstanding contribution for professional references.
