Can you smile?

If you know how to smile we need you. Gentiva Hospice provides care for those people who have a terminal illness and are likely in their last year of life. We want their last days to be good days. We pair volunteers with hospice patients (one volunteer per patient) and ask that you visit your patient 2-4 times per month (open to discussion) for at least 30 minutes each visit.

Smile at your patient. Watch TV. Talk. Read out loud. Listen to music. Craft. Play games, do a word search, complete a crossword puzzle, take a walk, pretty much anything.

volunteer close to where you live. we are flexible with schedules. great for medical students or those who want to give back to their community. full training provided. must pass drug test and background check. great for resumes. must be at least 18. we are easy and fun and good people to volunteer for.
