Social Media Marketing Assistant

Responsibilities:

The Social Media and Marketing Volunteer will work together with the CEO and members of H.O.P.E.’s staff to raise awareness of our programs, continuously engage with current customers and attract new customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the organization’s social media accounts.
  • Brainstorm campaign ideas.
  • Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
  • Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.
  • Find and post content for social media pages
  • Photograph / Video events
  • Evaluate and organize content
  • Create a schedule of posts
  • Review and send content schedules
  • Assist with Blog writing
  • Assist with Facebook Ads
  • Assist with response to engagement on client social media accounts
  • Monitor posts on client social media accounts
  • Research/ keep up to date with social media news / updates

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or English degree-seeking program or prior experience in Social Media Marketing or Blogging.
  • Well versed in LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Interested in Photography and/or Videography
  • Committed to supporting H.O.P.E.’s mission.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Thrives in an environment that requires both independent and collaborative work.
  • Must be professional, mature and able to work alone or as part of team.
