ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Miracle Project is always looking for volunteers - or, as we call them, "co-actors." Co-actors are peer role models - participating alongside those with autism and other disabilities serving as a friend, classmate, and creative partner.

The Miracle Project is a fully inclusive theater, film, and expressive arts program focused on building communication, self-esteem, and life skills for neurodivergent and disabled individuals. Through shared experiences with peers and volunteers, individuals with diverse backgrounds, communication styles, and abilities find their voice, develop their talents, and rehearse for life.

We welcome co-actors of all ages, backgrounds, and encourage siblings and similarly-aged relatives of program participants to volunteer as well.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be willing and able to commit to at least three months of service.
  • Individuals 18+ must complete California Mandated Reporter Training (provided by the organization), LiveScan Background Check, and provide proof of negative TB Test.

WHEN: Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:30 PM - Ongoing
