Description
Experience the joy of working with Special Olympics athletes as a volunteer for our swimming program in Centre County!
Role Responsibilities: Under the leadership of a head coach, help to organize practice and assist athletes in acquiring sports skills. Knowledge of swimming is helpful, but not necessary!
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week during the sport season, which usually lasts for 8-10 weeks.
Location: Practice is in Centre County Family in the State College YMCA
Requirements: Volunteer application; Background checks for volunteers 18+; Complete general orientation, protective behaviors and concussion training.
