Description:
We are an organisation that works with some of the poorest children in Peru. We teach children aged 7 - 16 and work with their families to assist with health care and social and economic improvement.
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to assist us in our work. Currently we run english classes for three age groups in three different schools and we also run a kindergarten and classes for the childrens parents where we teach english and assist with spanish (as many of the parents have had very poor education)as well as craft skills, cookery, healthcare and social issues.
The work is extremely varied and can be adapted to suit your particular skills and interests. If you are looking for a project that is interesting, fun and extremely rewarding this is the project for you.
No knowledge of Spanish is necessary (you will pick up the words for pencil, sit down and very good quickly enough!). If you want to learn Spanish while you´re here however it can be arranged.
