Guide tours for school and youth groups: Become a Museum Guide!

Volunteer Museum Guides are passionate lifelong learners who provide guided tours for school and youth groups. They encourage guests to forge their own connections to MIM's collections and stories through lively, thoughtful discussions. You don’t need a musical or teaching background to apply-training covers everything a guide needs to know.

STEP 1

Apply now by going to https://mim.org/support-mim/become-a-volunteer-team-member/

STEP 2

Attend an orientation for new volunteers and a meet-and-greet for museum guide candidates.

STEP 3

Complete a 5½ week initial training.

STEP 4

Lead fun, engaging tours of MIM’s galleries for kids of all ages. Following the training, museum guides commit to a minimum of three tours per month.
