The Grow Movement Volunteer Consultant Program (VCP) connects business experts and students with small business founders in Africa, and South Asia for remote consulting support. We are currently looking for volunteers to support female entrepreneurs in Pakistan running small businesses to support a small business to make a direct, tangible, and sustainable impact. Create employment, enhance the skills of an entrepreneur, and increase the profitability of a small business.

HOW IT WORKS

Grow Movement volunteering experience is for someone:

Who is looking to gain consulting or coaching skills at the start of their career, dedicating some free time to a great cause. MSc/MBA's that need practice and experience and are committed to the programme, Retired leaders who have some free time for a great cause Or simply want to make the world a better place somewhere in the middle of their journey. someone who enjoys meeting new people and contributing to making their work and life a little better. Companies that would want to partner with Grow Movement to give meaningful volunteering opportunities to their staff.

Expected commitment.

Can commit about 10 hours in total to deliver 5-8 sessions.    

Access to remote communication tools or paying for the cost of calls to a mobile phone.

Being patient, determined, and flexible with timings. Participating should expect a

certain amount of ambiguity. This engagement is well structured; however, it will require coaches to adapt to special circumstances and contexts.

What impact will you have?

Grow Movement’s remote coaching methodology was independently tested on 930 entrepreneurs in Uganda by academics from three of the world’s top business schools and found to raise sales by 27.6% on average. You will unlock the potential of an entrepreneur by mentoring and teaching them new business skills. This improves the sustainability of the small business, increasing profitability and creating employment. Many of Grow Movement’s entrepreneurs go on to share their newfound skills with others in their community. Coaches should keep in mind that the biggest impact of the coaches’ work is likely to be seen after the coaching engagement concludes.
