The Internship Coordinator leads our high school internship program, arranging the necessary logistics and supporting interns. Interns work to serve active military and veterans through our programs.
- Help plan projects and tasks for interns
- Coordinate meetings and collaborative work days
- Help to coordinate mentorships and advice meetings for interns
- Supervise and communicate with interns as necessary
Project-Based: This role is centered on a finite project or projects
Heads-Up Work: This role requires a lot of communication with others
TYPICAL ROUTINE
- Lead intern collaborative work days and complete planning tasks while interns work - 4 Hours/Week
- Debrief with the Volunteer Director - 30 Minutes/Month
- Support interns via text message or e-mail communication as needed - 30 Minutes/Week
CURRENT PROJECT
Operation Stony Point Blue: Assist in developing a new internship program
- Design instruction and project briefings for interns
- Establish meeting place options for collaborative work days
- Develop a plan for optimal engagement with interns - they should be excited to encourage their friends to participate in the future
