Are you interested in working with older adults? Are you a retired social worker or someone with a background in social services, mental health, psychology, or counseling who would like to continue to make a difference in your community?
Alzheimer’s Los Angeles is a local, nonprofit organization devoted to supporting people with dementia and their caregivers. You would have the chance to work directly with individuals and families who are calling into our Helpline to find out more about how to cope. In addition, you may be completing assessments and providing general office support.
This is a part-time, volunteer opportunity, in which you can work from home once you have been through orientation and training. Personal or professional experiences with caregiving or dementia are welcome, though not required. Ease with using a computer is necessary.
The hours and days are flexible, we will work with your schedule. Please reach out to Zina Paris, Director, Clinical Services, at zparis@alzla.org if you are interested and let’s talk!
