Meal Volunteer

Greater Harleysville and North Penn Seniors services operates a Senior Community Center, Encore Experiences, in Harleysville, PA. Our Congregate Meal program at Encore serves approximately 80-100 older adults in a welcoming, restaurant-style setting each weekday. We are looking for Meal Volunteers who can assist with basic kitchen tasks and meal service. Strong customer service skills are a plus! 

Tasks may include:

• Chopping and preparation of food items to be cooked by our Meal Coordinator

• Cleaning and setting tables

• Washing dishes

• Serving meals

• Clean up of tables and dining area

We are looking for volunteers who can provide assistance Monday through Friday during the following shifts:

• 9 am to 11:00 am

• 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Training in specific job duties and safe food handling procedures are provided. Volunteers receive a free meal to either eat at Encore or take home on the days that they work.
