Description
Deliver the power of education to a Chicagoland student today! Become a weekly volunteer tutor with Tutoring Chicago and work one-to-one with a 1st-9th grade student. For the 2023-2024 program year, both in-person and virtual tutoring options are available.
Volunteer tutors provide academic support and serve as a role model and mentor to students from across the city. Weekly tutoring sessions focus on a variety of academic subjects, social-emotional learning, and the importance of accountability. No prior teaching experience is required, orientation and training. Tutoring sessions take place Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30PM (CST). Become a tutor and make a difference in a student's life today!

Tutoring Chicago has 3 in-person locations:
- Lincoln Park/Near North at the St. Vincent de Paul Center, 2145 N Halsted St.
CTA Red, Brown, Purple, #8, #74. Free parking in a garage under the building.
- Near West Side/West Loop at The Salvation Army Community Center, 1 N Ogden Ave.
CTA Green, and Pink, #9, #20. Free parking in the lot.
- Hyde Park/Southside at Ace Tech, 5410 S State St.
CTA Green, #29, #55. Free parking in the lot.
