CCID is a non-profit organisation based in the South West region of Cameroon. It was established in 2016 to advance the rights of communities, women, girls and young people while strengthening community leaders and community-based organisations to respond to the needs of indigenous people. In order to realise this mission, CCID supports integrated development initiatives in the areas of gender equality of equity, sustainable livelihoods, participatory leadership, governance and authority.

DUTIES

We are currently seeking a volunteer

SRHR Project Coordinator, to work from their home. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for member engagement and support of the SRHR Network, to maximise the level of active and effective participation in efforts to advance SRHR in Cameroon.

Roles and responsibilities:

include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the SRHR Network ‘Who’s Who’ database and review and follow up all submissions to join the Network
  • Making links between existing regional/ continental SRHR-relevant web-based knowledge-sharing platforms and the SRA network
  • Identifying key strategy, policy and research documents on HIV and SRHR linkages for upload to the SRHR website
  • Supporting and monitoring the submission and upload of resources by Network members
  • In consultation with the Web Content Moderator and Social Media Officer: Research, upload and promote the use of SRHR campaign relevant resources on the network website
  • Contributing to programme design and content Identifying and liaising with potential participants from high-level institutions with SRHR mandates
  • Sourcing / drafting content for briefing documents (factsheets) on priority SRHR issues to support CSOs and duty bearers to advocate for changes/implementation in policy and programming
  • Arranging design and dissemination of these publications

Minimum requirements

  • A Graduate Degree in related area including Marketing, Public Health, Social Science or related field. A post graduate degree will be preferable
  • 1+ years’ marketing experience
  • 1+ years’ consumer/community internet experience
  • Track record in member engagement
  • Experience in online network development
  • Knowledge of website development
  • Strong understanding of issues of SRHR issues in Africa
  • Excellent research and communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Competence in french will be an advantage
