Description

Interested in becoming a GED Tutor!

Assist individuals in the North Rosenberg community who are working toward getting their GED. Meet on a regular basis to walk with students through studying and test taking process. We will match students based on your availability.

Time Commitment

Volunteer tutors are requested to commit to teaching twice per week for a minimum of one hour per class.

Our GED program follows the academic year schedule, September through May, with breaks for holidays and in between semesters. You will have the option to pause for the summer break or continue throughout the year.

We believe this time commitment is necessary to foster relationships based on trust, respect, and the love of Christ, and will allow the volunteer to see the direct benefit of their role as a mentor/ tutor.

  • All volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Application
  • Volunteers over the age of 18 who will be working with children/ young adults will be required to submit to a background check.
  • Volunteers will go through an orientation and training prior to being released for service.
