Volunteer to Cheer on the L.A. Marathon Runners

Energetic volunteers are needed from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024, to support our Hirshberg Training Team as they participate in the LA Marathon.

Every year, new and seasoned runners commit to joining the Hirshberg Training Team and fundraising for pancreatic cancer research on behalf of the Hirshberg Foundation. They train and fundraise for months and, come spring, embark on one of the most rigorous challenges they have ever faced - running in the Los Angeles Marathon!

The Hirshberg Foundation will staff a Course Support Booth known as our Purple People Party cheer station along the LA Marathon course. Volunteers will watch the marathon, cheer/dance/wave as runners pass by, or hand out refreshments. All ages are welcome! Whether you volunteer for 2 hours or the whole day, your time is greatly appreciated by all those running the marathon.

Volunteer groups (5 people or more) can contact volunteer@pancreatic.org to sign up.

All ages are welcome! If you are under the age of 16, we will require that a parent or guardian be present, or be supervised by an adult in your group with parent/guardian approval.

All volunteers under 18 must bring in the volunteer waiver signed by their parent/guardian.
