Who We Are
Juani is a fiscally sponsored project of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Empowerment WORKS. Our mission is to improve the lives of women and girls in rural Kenya through healthcare, education, and empowerment. We’re currently building The Wilson Center for Women in Siaya County, Kenya, which will provide primary care to women, along with counseling services, mentoring, and health education. We’re also implementing programs to support survivors of gender-based violence. For more information, visit www.juani.org.
The Role
The Social Media Volunteer reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing and to the founders of this project. You’ll create and curate content for various social media channels and offer input on how we can improve our social media strategy. This is a remote volunteer opportunity that does not require travel.
Responsibilities
● Create engaging content for Instagram, X, and TikTok
● Start and engage in conversations with our target audience on Twitter, X, and TikTok
● Attend occasional remote meetings and trainings
● Provide feedback on how we can improve our social media strategy
Requirements
● Excellent communication skills
● Mastery of Twitter, X, and TikTok
● Willing to commit 5-10+ hours a week to this project
