Description

  • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. 
  • Project Leaders are expected to put in a minimum of 8 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
  • STW™ welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunity. STW™ shall provide "letter of recommendation"  professionals who demonstrate outstanding contribution for professional references.

SUMMARY:

The  Research and Engineering Project Leader : AOT  will be responsible for specific research & engineering objectives while providing engineering and project management support for  product research and development efforts. This responsibility includes project planning and scheduling, theoretical research, conceptual design formulation and analysis, setting/recommending test matrices, prototype design, test evaluation, final design documentation and presentation of the final design package.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical reporting and statistical data analysis of the process design.
  • Mentor and coach a team 3-5 Associates and hold them accountable for their work.
  • Assist in training of Associate Engineers.
  • Provide appropriate technical training to new volunteers as required.
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per schedule.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. 
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or equivalent work experience (at least 3 years or more full time paid corporate/non - profit work experience)
  • Knowledge or Experience in water and wastewater treatment design.
  • Good understanding of the water/wastewater treatment process including biological treatment.
  • Experienced Chemical or Environmental Engineer with experience in designing Portable technology
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Effective oral communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner.
  • Good writing and editing skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Focused attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and focus on details
