Description
The Public Lands Alliance (PLA) is led by a diverse board of highly respected, accomplished leaders. Their passion, expertise, and experience ensures that PLA successfully connects, strengthens, and represents the nonprofit partners of America's public lands.
Our Governance Committee is holding an open call for board nominations from through March 15, 2024. The Committee intends to appoint 3-5 new board directors whose terms of service will begin July 1, 2024.
The Committee welcomes nominations from all interested individuals, though it has special interest in nominations that would increase the board's experience and skills regarding:
- Partnerships with the National Wildlife Refuge System and/or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
- Law / Legal Affairs
- Major donor cultivation and stewardship
- Connections with foundations and corporations that prioritize conservation and public lands
