Position description: The National Marketing Director’s primary role is to provide forward thinking strategic ideas to continue the Wish Upon A Wedding mission, and participate in Wish Upon A Wedding Fundraising processes by creating Partnerships & Fundraising Opportunities as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Standard Operating Procedures
- The National Marketing Director must read and be familiar with the rules and regulations relating to the wish granting program and its processes.
- The National Marketing Director attends monthly board meetings and 1-2 strategy meetings per year.
- The National Marketing Director represents the non-profit as required for media.
- The National Marketing Director is responsible for submitting a complete and comprehensive board report each month to the members of the National Board of Directors.
- The National Marketing Director is responsible for curating promotional emails to support Wish Upon A Wedding and Wish Upon a Dress efforts to stay connected with their community list including highlighting Wishes/Blogs, Events, etc. Emails are curated currently in FloDesk (03/2023).
- The National Marketing Director is responsible for supporting and providing advice on bi-weekly marketing calls with the Programs Director, Executive Director, Social Media Director, and PR Director.
- The National Marketing Director is responsible for developing an annual marketing plan.
- The National Marketing Director will work with the National Fundraising Director to create programs to increase online donations.
- Develop and implement “in lieu of favor” programs with couples getting married to donate to our cause.
- Create and maintain a fundraising packet.
- The National Marketing Director will review all incoming Third-Party Event Request Applications and take note of trends, issues, and commonalities.
- Respond to all requests that come in from the Wish Upon A Wedding website.
- Create and maintain a marketing program to reach individuals and businesses to host third party fundraisers.
- Oversee and maintain the Third-Party Fundraiser spreadsheet.
- Oversee and manage the Third-Party fundraiser contracts in Adobe sign.
- Oversee and coordinate with Program Coordinator’s for Third Party Fundraising blog posts and social media posts.
