Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 129-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 16,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking volunteers to teach an advanced level English as a Second Language class for adults. Our English as a Second Language program provides high quality, interactive instruction to a diverse student body. We seek to increase students' language skills, confidence in speaking and comprehension of English. Volunteers are needed to teach one class per week, Wednesday, 9:30am-12:00pm, January 10 - March 13. Classes will meet at 331 East 70th Street in Manhattan.
