Overview
VOX ATL is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a volunteer Copy Editor. The Copy Editor will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and overall quality of content produced by VOX teen journalists. This position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering youth voices, media literacy, and supporting the next generation of journalism.
VOX ATL copy editors give everything we publish at VOX a thoughtful, necessary eye before we publish our digital or print content.
Copy editors should be able to:
1. Utilize AP style to copy-edit both print and digital stories for VOX ATL
2. Use Google Drive to edit digital content
Responsibilities
- Attend VOX ATL Volunteer Orientation
- Work with VOX Teens to successfully publish content on digital and print platforms
- Attend virtual VOX publishing meetings, Wednesdays at 5 pm
- Serve as a guide on the side during the publication process
