El Centro de la Raza’s job readiness program ‘Latinos @ Work,’ is looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) AmeriCorps member for the current AmeriCorps year! Latinos @ Work provides job training, digital literacy skills, employment assistance, and supportive services for bilingual Latinos looking to enter the workforce.
Duties include: Assist in the planning and implementation of training that will cover essential job readiness skills, digital technology and critical thinking activities; Help participants with job applications, resume writing and preparing for job interviews; help connect participants with job opportunities and lead a job fair for students and alumni of the Latinos @ Work program.
Benefits of an AmeriCorps position include: A monthly stipend to cover living expenses; An education award of up to $6,895 that can be used for future schooling or to pay off existing qualified student loan debt; Basic health insurance; and workers’ compensation coverage. AmeriCorps members must be citizens of the United States. Positions begin as soon as this month and end in July 2024!
