There Goes My Hero is hosting a bone marrow registry drive at the Towsontown Spring Festival to add potential bone marrow/stem cell donors onto the bone marrow donor registry to increase blood cancer patients' chances of finding a match. Volunteers play a crucial role at drives like this one because they help us educate passerby on the importance of joining the registry and facilitate the swabbing process.
Day 1 of the event takes place on Saturday, May 4th, from 10am-8pm. Volunteers do not have to volunteer for the entirety of the event, but are encouraged to volunteer for at least 2 hours.
Once you express interest, Andrea, our Volunteer and Color the Registry Coordinator, will let you know what shifts are available.
If you have any questions about this volunteer opportunity or would like to learn more, please email andrea@theregoesmyhero.org.
