The Sharing Network is dedicated to combating social isolation and loneliness among homebound seniors in Brooklyn, New York. Our innovative phone-based conversation groups foster social connectivity, allowing members to rejoin the world and feel part of a community.

Responsibilities:

As a hands-on program coordinator, you will play a necessary role in sustaining our conversation groups in Spanish. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain Contact: Regular communication with group moderators to ensure the smooth functioning of conversation groups.
• Quality Assurance: Actively participate in maintaining the quality and effectiveness of the conversation groups.
• Participant Engagement: Keep in touch with participants to understand their needs and ensure the program is meeting their expectations.
• Community Outreach: Assist in community outreach efforts to identify and recruit new members for Spanish-language groups.
• Group Functioning: Coordinate with volunteers to ensure groups run smoothly.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Availability during the day for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week.
• Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Empathetic interest in the needs and concerns of homebound seniors.
