Description

Photography Volunteering in Africa

Summary

Art in Tanzania uses photography in daily operations to give Visibility to community programs. Photographing Tanzania also includes encounters with wildlife and exposures that promote social development, human rights, and specific advocacy content creation.

Details

Art in Tanzania's coalition, partnering with UNICEF, Save the Children, and other organizations in the Children's Agenda in Tanzania, created numerous social media focuses that we actively give Visibility to the programs.

Participating in Art in Tanzania's photography program is a real-time artistic adventure. In addition, your photography skills can make a real social difference.

We use our social media pages for advocacy work, and our Facebook pages have more than 50K followers.

Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. In addition, we monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure you proceed well in your study program.

The internship outcome is learning to use and get experience to implement your education in developing country conditions with limited capacity. Also, to better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.

Working hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can be from 2 weeks up to 12 months.

The program is ongoing so that we can adjust your start dates. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.

We provide 2x the local minimum wage of USD 100 monthly for paid internships, payable when you stay at least four weeks.

The start and end dates are flexible and can accommodate other travel arrangements in Tanzania. However, personal costs include international flights, student permits, accommodation, and meals.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tours and safaris.

We need your tentative arrival and departure dates to book you in and open your account.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Accommodation with breakfast and dinner is EUR 175 per week and is a personal expense. However, the cost drops to EUR 125 weekly after the first 13 weeks.

Airport transfers from and to EUR 120 are a personal expense.

A charity student or volunteer VISA is USD 50 and is a personal expense. Less than a 1-year multiple-entry charity VISA is USD 250.

We pay a USD 100 per month stipend to you. It is small but 2x Tanzania's national minimum wage.

Flights are a personal expense.

Local program transport in Tanzania is a personal expense but small if needed.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tours and safaris.

We need your attempted arrival and departure to book you in and open your account.
