Description

Companis has worked in Snohomish and King counties for nearly 30 years to match passionate volunteers with local nonprofit agencies in need. Companis is looking to match a skilled volunteer worker with a local Snohomish county nonprofit dedicated to serving the medical needs of the unhoused in our region. This healthcare agency was founded to care for the marginalized and outcast, unhoused and unsheltered men, women, and children of Snohomish County. They are a leader in providing healthcare services for the homeless population in the North Sound and are one of the only agencies on the West Coast to provide medical care for folks on the street.

This agency is currently seeking a compassionate Medical Director to lead their dedicated, all-volunteer medical team.

Requirements:

  • The Medical Director must have one of these licensures: Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) degree
  • Additionally, an active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington
  • If retired, the agency will assist the selected provider with re-acquiring licensure and obtaining free malpractice insurance offered by the Washington Healthcare Access Alliance and Washington State Department of Health

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Clinical Leadership:

  • Oversee the medical services provided by our healthcare team, ensuring excellence in

patient care delivery

  • Develop and implement evidence-based medical protocols and guidelines consistent

with best practices

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory

standards and maintain high standards of quality care.

  • Assist in oversite of the electronic health record (Practice Fusion)
  • Act as a resource as needed by medical providers and nurses

Additional job description duties and information available upon request.

Companis serves to support volunteer workers through the placement of a volunteer with an agency. We ask the right questions and listen deeply to determine the right fit for both volunteer and agency. As part of the Companis placement, you will meet with a Companis Program Manager to share your interests, skill sets, availability, and experience. The program manager will share additional information about the role, the nonprofit agency, and Companis expectations and training. Companis' goal is to find the right match for both our volunteer worker and the agency to ensure that you are supported the entire way!
