Commitment: 1 month (10hrs/month)

Organizational Description:

Inneract Project is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2004, working to empower the next generation of  Black, Latinx, and underrepresented designers of color. IP provides free design classes and initiatives that introduce students to the design field in hopes of channeling their creativity into exciting new career paths. Inneract Project is committed to reshaping the design and tech industries so that more Black, Latinx, and underrepresented folks of color are present, empowered, and supported.


OVERVIEW

Inneract Project is a non-profit organization empowering the next generation of Black, Latinx, and underrepresented designers of color. We are seeking a professional photographer to document our summer program events during July and August 2024. The selected photographer will play a crucial role in capturing the essence of our programs and conveying a powerful message to a diverse audience.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Utilize photography as a storytelling tool to showcase the impact and vibrancy of our programs.
  • Ensure that the images convey a message that resonates with our mission of empowering underrepresented designers of color.
  • Capture and upload candid moments, group activities, and participants' individual experiences into an IP Google Drive.
  • Deliver an enthusiastic presentation during the reception, ensuring that attendees feel connected to the journey of the summer program.
  • ​​Understand the diverse audience of Inneract Project and tailor the photography to engage and connect with them.
  • Adapt to the dynamic nature of the program, ensuring no significant moments are missed.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Passionate for education, youth development, and social justice
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing event dynamics
  • Previous experience as an event photographer, with a Non-Profit is a plus
  • A strong diverse portfolio showcasing previous work across different genres of photography
  • A creative mindset with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the table



COMMITMENT/TERM 

This position requires a 2-month commitment for an average of 3+ hours per week, which will be completed in-person and remotely. Position commitment is subject to renewal and extension by agreement from both parties.
