    Descripción

    The Operations Manager is the back office ninja for Dream Machine Innovation Lab, a small startup nonprofit founded in 2023 by Van Jones. They coordinate all day-to-day administrative and financial functions, providing the infrastructure that enables Dream Machine to thrive.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions across the organization.
    • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement processes.
    • Coordinate employee hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
    • Liaise with professional services vendors (PEO, accounting, audit, legal, etc.).
    • Manage the Dream Machine tech stack, software subscriptions, and consistent usage across the team.
    • Periodically review Dream Machine policies and procedures, ensure they are used well by the team, and eliminate friction whenever possible.
    • Mitigate cybersecurity threats.
    • Assist the COO in budgeting, financial planning, and monitoring expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Coordinate with program managers to support program delivery and assess operational needs.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
    • Prepare and present reports on organizational performance and operational metrics.
    • Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with the organization’s values for a remote team environment.

    Compensación

    Medical/Dental/Vision: We cover 100% of premiums for employee, spouses and dependents.

    For medical: California residents have a choice of Kaiser or UnitedHealthcare. For all employees that

    reside outside of California, UnitedHealthcare is the coverage for medical. Dental and Vision are provided through UnitedHealthcare.

    Vacation: We offer unlimited vacation. This is provided with the expectation that employee’s

    job performance remains acceptable.

    Sick: Sick time is accrued per pay period and equates to just over 13 days per year for full time

    employees. Sick time rolls over, and maxes out at 5 weeks.

    Holidays: We observe 11 holidays per year including the week off between Christmas and New

    Year’s.

    Retirement: After being employed for 6 months, employees are eligible to contribute to a

    retirement plan, and receive up to 5% matching from Dream Machine Innovation Lab.
