    Account Manager (Workforce One Center Bronx)

    We’re on the hunt for our next Account Manager for the Workforce One Careers Center in the Bronx. This is a critical role on the team focused on working with community employers to fill jobs through the center. As someone focused on relationships, this individual will know how to hustle and lead with speed, personality and sales acumen. The Account Manager will also keep the focus on the mission, understanding that they are here to find jobs for thousands of job seekers in our community.

    The Awesome Things You’ll Do

    • Engage new employers to identify and fill vacant positions 
    • Develop a repository of job orders, engaging new and existing businesses throughout the borough
    • Solicit feedback from employers on hiring needs 
    • Facilitate employer feedback via surveys, check ins and employer networks to ensure the needs of employers and industry are met 
    • Coordinate closely with Career Navigators to ensure clients are effectively assessed and employer matching is effective 
    • Ensures at all job seekers receive excellent customer service 
    • Track all intake, assessment, referral and relevant data in funder and internal systems 
    • Utilize labor market research and employer member organizations to drive and cultivate new business
    • Work closely with interdisciplinary team to drive marketing materials that reflect employer needs and recruit viable job seekers 
    • Attend offsite events and training as needed 

    Our Must Haves

    • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred along with at least one to two years’ experience providing career navigation, case management, vocational counseling, or employment services. 
    • Prior experience and demonstrated success in employer engagement and fulfilling job orders exceeding 10 placements 
    • Demonstrated ability to engage in employers in sectors with high-demand and growth 
    • Ability to utilize labor market information and employer network to drive and expand on portfolio of employers, weekly 
    • An understanding of the special needs of an economically and socially disadvantaged population. 
    • Superior oral and written communication skills 
    • Proven ability to work with diverse populations 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active and reflective listening, motivational interviewing, authentic communication, and conflict resolution 
    • Highly effective problem-solving and follow up skills 
    • Ability to focus deadlines and details 
    • Excellent networking skills 
    • Record-keeping, case noting, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining confidentiality
