    Position: 40hrs per week | Full Time, Non-Exempt

    Shift: On-Site

    Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Assistant provides vital administrative, operational, and data support to our Food Services and Community Engagement teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys a role that is varied in tasks and responsibilities. Must be a great team player who can create a work plan based on priority of projects and tasks. Must exhibit high level of professionalism in a fast-paced public facing organization.

    General Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Administrative Support 25% – provide general administrative support to Operations team including maintaining filing systems (digital and physical), prepare reports, creating signage, etc.
      • Data Entry & Reporting 20% – Input and maintain accurate records of food donations, food purchases, and other Operational records. Generate weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports as needed for agency or grant requirements.
      • Operational Support 30% - Collaborate with team to create and document SOPs and work flows for all Operations programs. Assist with coordination of all program systems used by operations.
      • Direct Program Support 25% – Support our programs on scheduled or as needed basis in the grocery, warehouse, kitchen, or community connector office.

    Required Qualifications:

      • A high school diploma (or equivalent) or a minimum 4 years of similar job experience.
      • Strong technology skills, ability to adapt quickly and learn new technology,
      • Experience with Salesforce (or similar platform), SharePoint
      • Ability to multitask and prioritize time in a dynamic, fast paced environment
      • Intermediate to Advanced level skills in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Work, Outlook, and Forms.
      • Proficient user of standard office equipment such as multi-line phone, copier/scanner, laptop.
      • Ability to create and maintain systems for operational excellence
      • Excellent relationship building and communication skills with adults and youth from diverse backgrounds
      • Detail-oriented, team player who consistently takes initiative
      • Strong problem solver
      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 25% of the time
      • Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions
      • Will frequently move food or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for various distribution or event needs
      • Must be able to pass a background check

    Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in public facing Non-Profit or Food Distribution
      • Proficient in a second language
