    USGBC-CA Digital Marketing & Systems Coordinator

    The U.S. Green Building Council California (USGBC-CA) is seeking a Digital Marketing and Systems Coordinator to optimize our digital platforms to enhance user experience, while supporting the creation of visually compelling graphic design assets that strengthen our brand identity to engage members and advance our mission. This role is critical to ensuring our digital platforms are accessible, efficient, and effective in serving our community. This position is slated to begin in August 2025 and will be an integral part of our USGBC-CA team, reporting to our Senior Marketing Manager.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Digital Platform Management

    • Maintain and update website content, ensuring content is current, accurate, and consistent, while using SEO best practices.
    • Develop and implement new content, ensuring a comprehensive campaign and consistent brand messaging throughout.
    • Elevate end-user experience by coordinating feedback and identifying improvements.
    • Upload and manage marketing content on the organization's LMS platform (e.g., BlueSky),Community Hub (Higher Logic), and other integrated tools as needed to optimal functionality and user experience.
    • Help maintain a visually engaging and intuitive user interface by applying brand guidelines across platforms and digital tools.
    • Support the Community Team by helping to foster an engaging and compelling environment for members through content curation and proactive engagement strategies.
    • Monitor performance through user behavior analysis and feedback, identifying opportunities to improve
    • Provide first-line support for technical issues related to web, email, or digital platforms. Collaborate with vendors and developers to resolve bugs and escalated issues efficiently, ensuring smooth digital operations.

    Systems Coordination & Optimization

    • Identify opportunities to optimize and integrate various digital systems (i.e., CRM, email Mailchimp, Swoogo, Eventbrite, LMS), ensuring consistent data and smooth functionality.
    • Develop and update user guides, FAQs, and tutorials to help users navigate our digital platforms.
    • Provide technical support and training for internal teams on various digital platforms and tools by documenting system processes, workflows, and best practices.
    • Monitor system metrics, generate reports, and recommend improvements to enhance platform performance and user experience.

    Digital Marketing Support

    • Help design branded marketing materials, including event assets, flyers, white papers, slide decks, reports, social graphics, and print collateral (Canva).
    • Support internal teams in applying visual identity standards and tone of voice across various platforms and collateral.
    • Assist with implementing SEO best practices across digital content (meta tags, image alt text, keyword use, internal linking).
    • Stay informed about digital trends and bring forward ideas for enhancing marketing channels and tools.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, information systems, communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience managing websites, LMS platforms, or community portals.
    • Advanced knowledge in Canva and familiarity with graphic design or multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, etc)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic HTML/CSS/SEO knowledge
    • Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace) and familiarity with LMS tools (BlueSky, Thinkific, Moodle)
    • Experience with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks and work independently in a deadline-driven environment

    A bonus if you also have:

    TIME COMMITMENT & COMPENSATION:

    This is a full-time, hybrid position. Location: California with the ability to travel to the USGBC-CA Los Angeles office on a semi-regular basis. The annual salary range is $65,000-$75,000.
