Space of Her Own, Inc.

Transforming spaces and transforming lives, Space of Her Own (SOHO) empowers remarkable, deserving preteen girls to express themselves, communicate openly, make positive decisions, progress academically, and give back to others. By pairing mentors one-to-one with 5th grade girls, we aim to create a foundation for a long-lasting bond and mentoring relationship. Mentors and mentees work together weekly on an array of projects designed to empower girls to value their creativity using unique professionally-led arts and STEM instruction. At the end of the year, mentors work with their mentee and their mentee's family to use the projects that they've created together to transform their mentee’s sleeping space and give each SOHO girl a true space of her own.
