Casita Copán

Casita Copán is a grassroot organization devoted to caring for orphaned, abandoned, and underserved women and children in rural Copan Ruinas, Honduras. We offer direct services in Honduras as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization registered in the United States. Our goal is to prevent child abandonment by helping single mothers and caring for vulnerable children. For many, Casita Copán is home away from home.

Daytime care, wholesome food, fresh water, prescription medication, clothing, access to a library, tutoring, school help, and counseling are just some of the services we offer at our community center. Orphaned or kids who can’t be with their biological families, are also part of Casita Copán through our "Casitas,” which are family-style homes staffed by loving foster mothers. In addition to our services for kids, we also provide a number of activities specifically for women, such as, parenting workshops, reading lessons, and more.
