Casita Copán is a community organization dedicated to
providing care for orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children and women in
Copán Ruinas, Honduras. We are a registered 501(c) 3 United States nonprofit
that provides direct services in Honduras. Our mission is to prevent child
abandonment by nurturing orphaned and vulnerable children and supporting single
Casita Copán currently serves 53 children and 17 mothers through a range of programs. Our community center provides daytime care, nutritious food, clean water, medicine, clothing, education, tutoring and homework help, emotional support, and more to 53 children from the ages of one to sixteen. Casita Copán also cares for thirteen orphaned children through our “casitas” or permanent, family-style homes led by dedicated foster moms. Complementing our services for children, we operate several programs for women, including literacy classes, parenting workshops, and a sewing club.
