Sustainable climate and women empowerment initiative (SCWEI)

Sustainable Climate and Women Empowerment Initiative’s mission is to empower women and vulnerable communities in Pakistan by promoting gender equality, climate action, and sustainable development through education, vocational training, awareness programs, and community-led initiatives that build resilience and create lasting social and environmental impact.

Sustainable Climate and Women Empowerment Initiative is a women-led, community-based organization working in Pakistan to advance gender equality, climate resilience, and sustainable development at the grassroots level. Our work focuses on empowering women and girls from vulnerable and underserved communities through practical skills training, awareness sessions, and inclusive development initiatives.

We primarily serve women, young girls, and marginalized groups who face social, economic, and environmental challenges. Many of these communities are directly impacted by climate change, limited access to education, and lack of livelihood opportunities. SCWEI addresses these challenges by linking climate action with women’s empowerment, ensuring that development is both inclusive and sustainable.

Our core values are equality, dignity, inclusion, and community participation. We believe that lasting change can only be achieved when local communities—especially women—are actively involved in decision-making and solution-building.

Through initiatives such as vocational training in the beauty and wellness sector, climate awareness campaigns, menstrual hygiene advocacy, and capacity-building workshops, SCWEI aims to build self-reliant communities where women are empowered economically and socially while also contributing to environmental sustainability.
