Acerca de

The American Red Cross of Southeast and Coastal Georgia was established on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1917 and has been serving the community for over ninety nine years. The office provides Red Cross services in 17 counties. We serve Montgomery, Toombs, Appling, Tattnall, Evans, Candler, Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan, Chatham, Liberty, Long, Wayne, Brantley, Camden, Glynn and McIntosh counties.

When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides onsite and follows up assistance helping clients with a place to stay, food emotional support, comfort items and clean up kits.

The American Red Cross provides communication between those in the Armed Forces and their families. We help military families send emergency messages and also brief families facing deployment on how to access our services anywhere in the world.

We depend on volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to carry on the work. Volunteers constitute 97 percent of our total workforce, serving as members of the Board, instructors teaching lifesaving skills, disaster action team members, office administrators, event organizers and more.
